Is It Anxiety?
At its core, anxiety is an adaptive function that the brain uses to detect danger. We all have anxiety, but it can vary in severity based on past, present, and future situations. It is essential for survival and is a healthy thing to have, when it is controlled.
Simply put, anxiety is worrying (or nervousness) about the unknown. For some, they may worry about how others view them whereas for others they may worry about the outcome of a situation. No matter what someone is worried about however, anxiety has a way of showing itself. Sometimes, though, these signs and symptoms may be mild, go unnoticed, or be mistaken for something else.
Don’t worry about sounding professional. Sound like you. There are over 1.5 billion websites out there, but your story is what’s going to separate this one from the rest. If you read the words back and don’t hear your own voice in your head, that’s a good sign you still have more work to do.
No matter what the emotion is, our thoughts, feelings, and behavior are all connected to each other.
